Celebrate spring with a visit to one of these nurseries, where an abundance of lush, new plants will spiff up every garden.

Spring translates as sweet blossoms, which herald summer, followed by weeks of potting and picking, fruits and flowers. Thankfully, Rhode Island has scores of worthwhile nurseries—more than enough to sate our plant-hungry appetites and far too many to include here. These are but a sampling of our favorites and the reasons why we’re going back more than once. Keep in mind many of the nurseries also offer design services. And, in the words of the great Smokey Robinson, shop around.
