The results are in. Meet the winners of the thirteenth annual Rhode Island Monthly Design Awards.
On a tear, our judges cooked up a lively mix of winners for Rhode Island Monthly’s thirteenth annual design awards including a punchy city abode, a classy renovated stable and an imaginative learning center. Some old favorites have triumphed again. But there are new faces in the crowd, and that also makes us happy. And this year, something different: Several projects came away with multiple awards. Our thanks to our judges: Kiel Moe, assistant professor at Northeastern University’s School of Architecture; architect Anthony Piermarini, principal, Studio Luz Architects Ltd. in Boston; and interior designer Nancy Stracka, who heads her own eponymous firms in Boston and Marblehead and is a participant in the Designer on Call program at the Boston Design Center. Thanks also to the many designers and homeowners who sent in their entries. To each and every one of you—having seen your gutsy and inspiring work—we tip our hats.
